Conrad Caplan, 105, of Northfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 18th. Born in London, England, he has been a resident of Northfield for many years. Mr. Caplan owned and operated many clothing stores in southeastern New Jersey and he also worked as a jitney driver in Atlantic City for many years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty in 1977 and also by his children Robert Caplan and Judith Schwartz and all of his siblings: Philip, Samuel, Morris, Daniel, Harry, Golda and Rae. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Doris Caplan, his loving grandchildren, Salvadore Auday, David Auday, Robert Auday, Paul Auday and Larry Caplan. He is also survived by many great-granchildren as well as his large extended family on his wife’s side. Services are private at the family’s request. Contributions in Conrad’s memory may be made to your local chapter of the A.S.P.C.A.
