Obituary

Sylvia Micklin – 93, passed away on December 26th at Brandall Estates.

Sylvia was born in Brooklyn, NY, the youngest of five sisters. As a young girl, she had a beautiful voice and sang on the radio in the 40’s. She was dental hygienist up until she met the love of her life, Jack, at Tamiment Resort in the Poconos, marrying him and moving to Philadelphia in 1948. They were very active and did everything together. In their early years they loved horseback riding and tennis. In their later years they were active travelers and loved boating, fishing and golf.

Predeceased by her husband, Jack, she is survived by her daughter, Randi (Howard) Seiden; her grandchildren, Rachel and Adam; and her great grandchildren, Sasha and Lucy. Also, her daughter Barbara (David) Bouffard; and granddaughter Amanda. Thank you to all the nurses and aides at Brandall Estates in Reflections for their amazing and compassionate care.

Burial will be a private family graveside service at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.

I knew Sylvia when she resided at Four Seasons Smithville. She had a great wit and could always make us laugh with her comments. Sending condolences to her family.

I am so very sorry to read of Sylvia's passing. I always enjoyed stopping by to say hello when I was visiting my mother in law. They enjoyed playing bingo with Mary when they were downstairs. That seems just a moment ago and now they are all gone, so very sad. Your mom had a great dry sense of humor and made me laugh. May her memory be a blessing.
