Rita Robbins Friedman
Rita Friedman, born December 8, 1928, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2021, age 92. She is survived by her three children, Terry Peyser Blynn, Nina Peyser, and Larry Peyser; three grandchildren, Lena Fleminger, Rose Litwack, and Alex Blynn; and nine great-grandchildren. Her sister, Janice Levy, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Joseph C. Peyser, and her husband, Leo Friedman.
Raised in Croydon, Pa., she graduated from Temple University’s School of Pharmacy in 1950, one of four women in a class of more than 100 mostly returning WWII veterans. She was a practicing pharmacist for over 40 years.
Graveside services were held on Friday at Greenwood Cemetery outside of Trenton, NJ. Shiva is being observed at the home of Terry Peyser Blynn in Margate, NJ.
