Richard Louis Segal, of Margate, N.J. passed away August 28, 2021. Born
October 10, 1939 in Atlantic City, N.J. Richard was a fourth generation
resident of Absecon Island. He was an icon in the food industry serving
casinos, resorts, and cruise lines throughout the nation. Following the
death of his grandfather, William I. Segal, and his father, Nathan A.
Segal, Richard became the president of the well-known food distributor,
William I Segal and Son, Inc.
Richard attended the University of Miami and New York University, from
which he earned a Bachelor's Degree.
Richard was the beloved husband of Lori Segal, loving father of Nathan
Segal, Douglas Segal, Kimberly Segal, Beth Ann Gaitan and Scott Segal.
Grandfather of Tylar Segal, Nicholas Gaitan and Gabrielle Gaitan and
great grandchild Olivia. He is also survived by his brother, Robert M.
Segal and wife Rhoda.
Richard was a very generous person and an avid reader who could often
be found with a book on his porch or at the beach.
