Obituary for Richard Liebman
Richard “Dick” Liebman, age 91, of Somers Point, passed away on May 21, 2021 at Shore Medical Center.
Dick was born on June 27,1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Sam and Lillian Liebman. Dick and his younger sister Shirley were raised in Greensburg, PA. His parents were so proud that he achieved his dream of becoming an Eagle Scout. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He proudly served our country as a Navy veteran.
In 1992 he married the love of his life, Linda Liebman (nee Lipowitz). He was the owner of Everglade Iron & Steel in Greensburg, PA from 1958 to 1993. Dick was a top ranked NASTAR skier from his 50s though age 71 and only retired from snow skiing at age 85. He loved waterskiing and waterskied with big rooster tails until he was 70.
Dick was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Pauline (Polly). He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his sons, Doug and Don; grandchildren Efraim, Lillian and Ahuvah; nephews Mark, Frank and Michael Schwartz; stepson Harold (Hal Haupt), wife Debbie and their children Ethan, Hayden, Dina and Nolan; and sister-in-law Renee Silverman and her loving daughters and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Rodef Sholom Cemetery, 6691 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township.
