Obituary for Michael Ettelman

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Michael Ettelman on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Michael was surrounded by family and friends and fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 50 years old.

Michael was born on October 22, 1970 and grew up in Manalapan, New Jersey. A 1988 graduate of Manalapan High School, he went on to have a successful career with Home Depot. He loved fishing with his best friend Chris Sabanosh and could often be found winning at the blackjack table in Atlantic City. He was a kind and generous person and was always willing to help anyone who needed his assistance. Michael loved animals and leaves behind two cats, Chunk and Kali.

Michael is meeting his parents, David and Francine Ettelman, in heaven and leaves behind a loving family including his ex-wife, Karen Yesalonis Ettelman; sister, Helena Kravitz and fiancé Terry Scott; sister Michelle Stacy; nieces, Hannah Kravitz and Meaghan Stacy Fattizzi; and nephews, Ethan Kravitz and Nicolas Stacy as well as numerous cousins.

Michael was taken from us way too young and will be missed forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to the ASPCA be made in his name at this link: ASPCA donations
