Obituary for Louis Grouse Alexander

Louis Grouse Alexander, was born July 10, 1931 in Savannah, Georgia and passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on September 14, 2021.

He was a lifelong educator who touched the lives of so many of his students as well as his professional colleagues through his role as a principal and school administrator. After playing football at Springfield College, Louis continued his lifetime passion for athletics by coaching high school football and being a loyal New York Giants fan. American history was of great interest to him and he was a scholar of the Civil War era.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Spiel Alexander. Louis is survived by his children Ken Alexander (Gayle), Perri Alexander-Fink (Aaron), as well as his adored grandchildren Danielle, Elyssa, Michael and Kerri and his great grandchildren Nathan, Andrew, Henry and Josephine.
Barbara Van Sant was his special companion over the last several years who mourns his loss as well.
