Obituary for Joyce "Sybil" Yamron (Abramson)

Joyce “Sybil” Yamron (nee Abramson) of Naples, Fl, age 92, passed away comfortably surrounded by love on July 22, 2022.
Joyce was born on September 18, 1929, in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Harry and Francis (nee Segal) Abramson. She graduated from Atlantic City High School and maintained close friendships with “The Bone Head Crew” all her life. She worked in her family business, William I. Segal Fruit and Produce Company until marrying the love of her life, Harold Yamron on April 28, 1949, and spent the next 73 years with Harold watching their family grow.
In 1972 Joyce and Harold moved their family business from the Atlantic City Boardwalk to Third Street in Naples, Fl., opening a new Yamron Jewelers. Joyce was a true partner in the opening of Yamrons, with her specialty Stationary Boutique within the store. Joyce’s gift of being such a people person was a influential asset to this transition.
Joyce and Harold were founding members of both Temple Shalom and Wyndemere Country Club. With friends aplenty, Joyce and Harold became an integral part of the Naples community and during the next 50 years and were involved in many local charities. Recently Joyce’s favorite cause has been The Williams Syndrome. A foundation honoring one of her great granddaughters.
