Obituary for Joseph Rothman
On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Joseph Arnold Rothman, loving husband and father of three children passed away at the age of 83 due to complications from Covid-19 and pneumonia.
Joseph was born on February 27, 1937 in Atlantic City, NJ to Louis and Sarah (Lieberman). He attended Rutgers and graduated with his bachelor's degree. He spent time in Korea as an Army Interpreter. After leaving the Army, he worked various jobs around South Jersey, including positions a Harrah's Casino, as well as working for the law offices of Judge Henry Broom. He served on the Selective Service Draft board as well as Past Chancellor for the Knights of Pythias.
On December 30, 1962 he married Joan Phyllis Goldman. They raised two daughters, Beth and Mindy and one son, Ari. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Louis and mother Sarah. He is survived by his wife, Joan; brother Neal; his three children: Beth (Rosenberg), Ari and Mindy (Holbrook); two sons-in-law; a daughter-in-law; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 1:00pm at Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.
