Joanne Beth Yard, 71, passed away on April 17, 2023. She was born in May of 1951, in Atlantic City, NJ to Irwin and Alma Rosenberg. She was the oldest of two daughters.
Joanne grew up in Margate, NJ, where she attended Atlantic City High School and graduated in 1969. She went on to Atlantic Cape Community College, where she earned her degree in Business. She eventually started her own Bookkeeping & Accounting business, which is still thriving today.
In 1993, Joanne married her loving husband, Edmund John Yard. Together, they share 3 sons. She was the most devoted and loving mother, always putting her children's needs first. Joanne was also an incredible grandmother, and her grandchildren adored her.
Joanne was a woman of many passions. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sporting events and was known for her incredible cheering skills. Her grandchildren’s favorite thing to do was to have “sleepovers at Mom-mom’s”. Joanne also loved to shop. You could easily have found her at Target, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or any other retail store, buying items for her home or for her family.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Alma Rosenberg. She is survived by her husband Edmund Yard, her sister Susan Pickett (Rosenberg), her 3 sons Jason (Trish) Yard, Jonathon (Cheryl) Yard, and Paul Schlemo, her 9 grandchildren Alexis, Madison, Michaela, Jakob, Graham, Jason, Aidan, Jackson and Ava, and her nephew Jared (Theresa) Rosenberg and family.
