Obituary for Joan Kahn Miller

Joan K. Miller, 89 of Galloway passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Born to Frances and Louis Kahn in Atlantic City, she lived most of her life in Atlantic County. From an early age, she developed a passion for the arts, especially dance. She pursued that passion throughout her life and was secretary of Atlantic City Community Concerts for decades. She did extensive research on the Russian Ballet Russe and taught classes through local venues. Joan was known for her artistic flair, sense of style and her many hats. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years, Marvin Miller and is survived by her children Eve, Mauri (Val Wagner), Matt and her grandchildren Rachel (Gabriel Alonso) and Josh. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Stella Blumberg, her niece and nephews and their spouses.
Synagogue services will be held Friday 1pm at Shirat Hayam, 700 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ventnor. Interment to follow at the Emeth Shalom Cemetery, Egg Harbor Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
