GLORIA CLAUSON HERRING, age 87, passed away on November 11, 2018.

Gloria was born and raised in Atlantic City, and was part of the family that owned Clauson Carpet in Atlantic City. She later moved to Charlotte, NC and then to Rochester, NY in order to be near her grandchildren while they were growing up. But Atlantic City remained in her heart and she happily returned to spend the last decade of her life in the city that she loved so much. She belonged to Maps Foundation, raising money for MS, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease, and proudly volunteered at Lucy the Elephant.

She is survived by her devoted sons Mitchell (Lili) Herring and Ross (Susan) Herring; her adoring grandchildren Andrew (Tawny) Herring, Allyson (Jonathan) Herring, Daniel Herring, Chip (Jayna) Schofield, and Julia (Paul) Baris; and her beloved great-grandchildren Eliana Baris and Kieran Schofield.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services on Friday November 16, 2018 at 12 noon at Beth Kehillah Cemetery, 6687 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

The family asks that contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, Lucy the Elephant, or a charity of the donor’s choice
