Dr. Alex Kershenblatt, a prominent area podiatrist, died peacefully on January 31, 2023 at his home at Hunters Run in Boynton Beach, FL. Alex practiced Podiatry, both in Margate and Rio Grande, NJ for over 40 years before retiring to South Florida.
Born in Atlantic City, he attended Atlantic City area schools, and was a graduate of Rutgers University and the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to entering college, Alex served in the U.S. Army. During college and graduate school, Alex proudly served as a lifeguard on the Atlantic City Beach Patrol. In later years, Alex became an avid tennis player and golfer. He was a lifetime fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and all things associated with Atlantic City.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Alan of New York City and Charles of Margate; two grandchildren, Spencer and Dillon, and a sister, Dorothy Silverstein of New York City. He is predeceased by his brother Joseph.
Services will be held at 10AM on Thursday at the Roth-Goldstein Memorial Chapel in Atlantic City. Burial will be at the Beth Kehillah Cemetery, Pleasantville.
