Obituary for Carol Ross

Carol Rosenberg Ross, age 78, of Margate City, NJ passed away peacefully on June 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving daughter Kimberly and close friends.

Carol resided in The Villages, Florida for the past nine years, after moving from Woodland Hills, California where she lived for over a decade. She was a long-standing member of the Red Hat Society and very active in the Juliets Club, the South Jersey Club, and various other social activities in her community. You could always count on Carol to greet you at the door with a smile.

Carol was a world traveler and loved sightseeing. During her travels she enthusiastically embraced the local culture and history, and this passion was evidenced by her collection of globes and eclectic souvenirs. Despite her travels, she always held a special place in her heart for her hometown of Atlantic City and maintained an active relationship with the historical society.

Carol was particularly skilled at strategic games, and spent much of her adult life improving her backgammon and duplicate bridge skills. One of her proudest accomplishments was becoming a Life Master at bridge.
Carol is survived by her beloved daughter Kimberly (Jackson) of Marshfield, MA, her son-in-law Greg Jackson, and her cherished grandchildren Jacob, Aidan, and Eva Jackson. She is also survived by her brother Richard Rosenberg, her sister-in-law Marcia, and her nieces Deana (Michael) Jaeger, Laura (Paul) Pappas and Audrey (Rob) Brazier. Carol’s extended family included many treasured friends who will deeply miss her spirit.

Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life was held at The Villages in Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to Lucy the Elephant at www.LucyTheElephant.org or by mailing a check to Lucy the Elephant 9200 Atlantic Ave, Margate, NJ 08402.
