Obituary for Alan Weinberg

Weinberg, Alan S. of Philadelphia, Margate and Boynton Beach passed away on June 10th. Alan played basketball in high school which earned him the nickname “stretch.” He was a successful artist who had his own art studio in Philadelphia for many years, as well as a landlord for many in his brownstone. Alan also taught art to under privileged youth in Philadelphia. He was an avid tennis player and a wonderful family man. Alan loved the beach, cars, iced cream and all things chocolate. He also enjoyed playing poker with “the boys.” He is survived by his daughters, Susan Levy and Barrie (Sal) Urbano, sister Barbara Epstein, sister-in-law Bernice Glazier and grandchildren Julia and Jacob Levy and Rachel Urbano.
Relatives and family are invited to attend graveside funeral services on Wednesday, June 15th ,12:00pm, at Beth Kehillah cemetery in Egg Harbor Township. Lunch will be immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Alan’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
